Design Notes

The original sequence of pVIII protein consists of 222bp coding for 73 amino acids. First 23 amino acids are cleaved by a signal-peptidase inside E.coli cells. Thus in order to introduce the modified hexapeptide (or any peptide) in the N-terminal of the functional protein, the appropriate codons should be introduced from the codon #24 and onwards in the sequence of the pVIII protein.
